About Selati Safari Lodge

Nestled in the UNTAMED wilderness lies this gem, Selati Safari Lodge, a mere 45min drive from the Kruger National Park and close to the Blyde Canyon River, we are located in the Selati Game Reserve.

The Reserve stretches over 30000ha of pristine wilderness with the Selati river running through it. This is a Big 5 Reserve, it is also home to Sable Antelope, White and Black Rhino as well as the rarest cycad on the planet.

You will find a rich and diverse geological history with the Murchison Greenstone belt in the north-west of the reserve that contains the oldest rock formations on earth. The rest of the reserve is made up of three different granite and pegmatite formations.

Selati Game Reserve prides itself on being one of the reserves with the lowest carbon print in the Greater Kruger Region.

The camp is easily accessible for guests and there are a few ways of getting to the camp, you can fly into Hoedspruit or Phalaborwa town, self-drive or arrange a road transfer with Selati Safari lodge.  The distance is roughly 70 km from Hoedspruit centre.

Rocky outcrops characterize the terrain and riverfront view making it an interesting region to explore while out on a game drive.

Selati Safari camp is the only camp that guarantees our guest rhino sightings in their natural environment, this on an all inclusive property.

The Selati Game reserve is a large reserve with diverse topography and biodiversity. In the east there are large granite hills where Verreaux’s eagles and klipspringers can be found.

The dominant vegetation types are Combretum and Mopane woodland. This habitat is well-suited to the large elephant and giraffe population found there.
